Dur Online Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use Dur Online, we may collect:

• Account information: name, email address, phone number, profile photo, account role, verification status, and saved profile details.
• Marketplace activity: products viewed or purchased, services booked, shops visited, carts, orders, bookings, reviews, support requests, and messages sent through the app.
• Delivery information: recipient name, delivery phone number, address, delivery instructions, delivery status updates, delivery proof codes, QR verification events, and optional GPS location when you choose to attach it for delivery guidance.
• Wallet and transaction information: wallet balances, top ups, withdrawals, payments, refunds, payouts, fees, transaction references, and related order or booking records.
• Media and files: profile photos, product images, service images, shop banners, receipts, and files you upload or generate through the app.
• Device and app data: Firebase Cloud Messaging tokens, app version, device identifiers used by Firebase services, crash reports, diagnostics, and basic analytics.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to operate and improve Dur Online, including to:

• Create and secure accounts, authenticate users, and apply role-based access for customers, vendors, service providers, delivery partners, and admins.
• Show products, services, shops, bookings, deliveries, wallets, reviews, receipts, and support activity.
• Process orders, service bookings, payments, refunds, wallet transactions, withdrawal requests, and payout workflows.
• Share required delivery details with assigned vendors, service providers, or delivery partners so orders and booked services can be fulfilled.
• Send push notifications and in-app updates about orders, bookings, wallet activity, delivery progress, account activity, and important app updates.
• Detect fraud, protect user safety, troubleshoot errors, comply with legal obligations, and improve app reliability.

3. Location, Camera, and Notifications

Dur Online requests location permission only when location-based delivery or service-booking features need it. Customers may attach a delivery or service location, and delivery partners may open maps to navigate to the destination.

Camera access may be used for profile or listing photos and QR code scanning for delivery handoff verification. Notification permission is used to send order, booking, wallet, delivery, message, and app update alerts.

4. Sharing Information

We do not sell personal information. We may share information only where needed to run the platform, including:

• With vendors, service providers, and delivery partners involved in fulfilling a specific order, booking, or delivery.
• With Firebase and Google services used for authentication, database storage, file storage, messaging, analytics, crash reporting, and cloud functions.
• With payment, wallet, communications, or support providers when those services are connected to Dur Online.
• With authorities or other parties when required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect users and the platform.

5. Data Storage and Security

Dur Online uses Firebase and related cloud services to store app data. We use technical and organizational safeguards such as authentication, role-based access controls, security rules, and encrypted transport. No online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we work to protect user data and limit access to authorized use.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

We keep account, order, booking, delivery, wallet, transaction, receipt, review, and support information for as long as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, meet accounting requirements, and comply with law. Some records, such as financial transactions and delivery proof events, may be retained even after an account request for deletion where retention is legally or operationally required.

7. Children

Dur Online is not directed to children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

8. International Processing

Information may be processed and stored in Uganda and in other countries where Firebase, Google, and service providers operate infrastructure. Those locations may have different data protection laws from your country.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Dur Online grows. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and may notify users in the app or through other appropriate channels.
